Every child by the age of four heard various numbers for many times: after his birth he counted fingers with his mom, later he counted and measured all around himself with his dad: steps, cars, windows, houses, measured one hundred footsteps on the road. The child knows the number of the house and the flat where he lives, phone number, his own age and age of his parents or dates of birth. Adults are always talking about prices, wages, pensions, payments for the rent, gas, electricity. In the grocery stores he sees price tags all around. On TV (PC) numbers are not only pronounced, but also shown in big and small size, in different colors: time, temperature, price, phones.
So numbers are everywhere from the birth of a person. That is there is no any necessity to study numbers for a long time one by one, from zero… Moreover our brains are holistic and they get the whole concept easily. While attempts to understand fragmented pieces of information take a lot of energy and time. Pieces of any information are useless without the whole picture. That is why in the tutorial we start counting from the very beginning from 0 till 100.
Tutorial consists of various tables (to put up on the walls) and cards, cubes (to play with). You can use them at home or in the classroom. Children start perceiving information through watching. Just passing by, they can be attracted by numbers, pictures, colors, just stop near the table and look at it, thinking, analyzing, making his own assumptions and conclusions.
They love watching carefully, trying to get any detail by themselves, then they can discuss it with each other and only later can ask an adult. It is their process of investigation. And it is very important. Let them take their time. Wait for the questions. Don’t try to explain to them all the tables. Just put them up on the walls.
The tutorial is created in different attractive and pleasant colors, numbers are of different size, tables have different types of cards.
Tutorials have educational material of the arithmetic course of the whole primary school and even further.
They are useful for children from 4 years old if it is necessary no start learning Math; it is also good for elder pupils who have gaps in arithmetic and counting in mind seems to be so complicated. Even adults can use the tables to train their counting in mind (that accelerates brain activity greatly – that means that it will help in solving everyday problems and finding answers in your personal life) .
The idea of tutorials is not only to give knowledge of Math, but also to improve person’s health. Studying includes constant moving, invisible eye-gymnastics. At schools body, head and eyeballs areimmobilized, that causes many health problems later.
It is important to put tables on the walls 30 sm higher that child’s height, so that he can stretch to the table (good for spine), raise up his head (move left and right, as tables are quite big). The line with numbers you can put almost under the ceiling. And a teacher/parent will need a stick/pointer (it can be a twig) to show numbers every time when she/he pronounces them. And also children will need them (it is easier to follow the line and to give answers, showing and then pronouncing).
You can put tables on all the walls of the room, some of them higher, some – below.
Visual, audial, kinesthetic perception are in work while you use the tutorial. Moreover children train their pronunciation, articulation. It is important to pronounce numbers loudly and clearly. That is brain activity training.
Constant moving will help to combine physical and brain exercises, that is natural for young children and for a human being.
No any writing with pens or pencils is used. (Actually writing for 4-7 years children is a very difficult skill and it is useless at this age, as it brings no any benefit but wastes a lot of energy). Children will write here with cards and cubes or with a pointer.
We choose carefully shapes, colors, sizes to create the whole harmony of the tutorial to bring this harmony into the inner state of children and adults.
As the biggest problem in studying Math is deep tension and stress that children get and then keep it for years.
